Health & Safety Policy

HOLsta Office Limited is committed to maintaining a high standard of workmanship with an emphasis on ensuring, so far is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare, primarily of our employees but also extending to sub contractors, customers and any other parties affected by our daily operations. Through the effective implementation of this policy and associated controls we will endeavour to enhance our commitment to the continuous improvement of our processes and people.

Our proactive management approach to Health and Safety enables us to deploy robust systems and ensure adherence to applicable legislation and also to other requirements to which we as an organisation subscribes. It is ultimately my responsibility with the assistance of the management team and co-operation of the entire workforce to ensure adherence to the requirements of our Health and Safety Management System.

Commitment to these principles and values, from the management team, is cascaded down to all levels of the organisation with emphasis on the positive health and safety culture, attitude and beliefs of the workforce. We ensure that focus remains on our statutory and moral obligations regarding Health and Safety and that adequate resource is made available to ensure as an absolute minimum, fulfilment of our obligations. It is our intention that through the effective implementation of this management system we will also comply with the requirements of OHSAS 18001.

Clear objectives and targets are set within the company and are directly linked to our four main groups of duty of care which are to provide a safe place of work, safe plant and equipment, safe systems of work and safe and competent colleagues. All performance data and company objectives are documented and reviewed via the use of our Health and Safety Data Management System and information is shared throughout the business. We adopt the HSG (65) model of best practice Health and Safety Management based on the cycle of continuous improvement.

Performance against our objectives is periodically measured and actions are implemented to ensure timely accomplishment. Objectives are reviewed quarterly for adequacy and relevance to the needs of the business and in line with statutory provision. New targets are set providing value is added to our business processes and our stakeholders. This policy will be reviewed annually as part of the management review and continuous improvement processes.

Employees have been made aware of their obligations in respect of Health and Safety at Work and the importance of complying with any safety duty or requirement stipulated both within the law and by this organisation.

This policy will be prominently displayed throughout the company and all staff made fully aware of this statement of intent as well as the organisation and arrangements in relation to Health and Safety Management processes and their deployment.
